This Is My Chest

This is a small series of paintings I made while I was on bed rest after getting top surgery. These paintings depict different surgical techniques and different scar patterns on different chests. It is an expanding series where I make small paintings based off of photographs sent to me by gender diverse people who have had top surgery. This series brings to attention the diversity of people’s bodies. It is based on being proud, content and happy with the choices made and to show beauty.
